Willie Joyce Buchanan was born January 22, 1945, in Texas unto the   late James Birks Sr. and Josephine Morris Birks. She departed this life May 1, 2025, at the North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of Jerusalem M. B. Church in Plantersville, MS. She was an active member and served in many capacities. She worked at Lane Manufacturing for many years.
She leaves to mourn her passing, one brother James Robert Birks
(Dorothy). She also leaves to mourn her passing several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and her church family; special
friend and caregiver, Mamie Louise Shumpert.  Willie Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother John L. Birks.
