Wynell Tyes affectionately known as "mommy, granny, grandmaw, and girl (guh). She was lovingly raised by her parents, Robert and Erion Harris.  Wynell graduated from Saltillo High School in the year of 1972. She was reborn into the family of God at an early age accepting the Lord Jesus as her personal Savior, by inviting Him into her life thus dedicating her life to the Lord to fulfill the purpose He had for her. As part of God's plan for she was united in wedlock to the love of her life, Bobby Randolph Tyes (whom she affectionately called Randolph) in March 1972. Strategically planned by the Lord, He blessed them with five children because He had a plan for their future. Bernard, means strong and brave, (plays the guitar). Roberto, means to achieve greatness, (future preacher). Ashley, means strong spiritual symbol of strength, (Praise and worshipper/Nurse). Monte, means reaching new heights, (drummer) Bobby, means leader. God's purpose will prevail even when we don't know it. Wynell loved her family deeply. She enjoyed their celebrations of birthday parties, and family gatherings. Her great grandchild, Mari, was a joy to her life. Ashley's girls and Tai were her shopping buddies. Wynell enjoyed cooking and inviting people over to eat. She was a member of Colem Chapel Holiness Church, name changed to East Guntown. After she married Bobby, they had church in their home for a while. Later they joined Holiness Church of Christ of Deliverance Center under the directions of Pastor Archie L. Miller in Booneville, MS.

The Lord wasn't finished with them. He called Bro. Bobby to minister the gospel. They are the founders of Full Gospel Holiness Church in Baldwyn, MS. They started in a building downtown. The Lord gave Bro. Bobby a vision and they built and paid for the Church and Life Center that they are presently in where she remained a faithful member until her transition. Wynell accepted her call to the ministry also. She was a Praise and Worship leader and preached the Word of God. Pastor Bobby stated one of the greatest messages he heard her preach was "Little is Much With God." Her last message was March 9, 2025, as her health was declining, she stated to her family she had to preach, that evening March 9,. She was admitted to the hospital, that's when the Lord lovingly directed her last steps. To know Wynell is to love her as she quietly sat in her seat every Sunday, sometimes overlooked, yet she spoke not a word, not did she ever stop trusting God. Wynell's passing from this life to eternity was March 28th, 2025 surrounded by her family.
