Willie "Jr." Hodges was born March 12, 1948 in
Tupelo, Mississippi, to the late Beatrice Spears
Lockridge and the late Willie Hodges, Sr. The
late James Lockridge was his stepfather.
Willie was affectionately known as "Jr." to his
close family and friends. Today we celebrate
the life of a companion, father, grandfather,
brother, uncle, cousin and friend. One of
Willie's favorite past-times was watching
western series/movies and hanging out with his
friends. You would commonly find him sitting
in his favorite chair with the TV and heater on
full blast and watching his favorite TV show
Bonanza, where Ben, Adam, Hoss and Little Joe
Cartwright was saving the day. He worked for
Gravlee Lumber Company for many years until
his retirement.
Willie was called to his final resting place on
Sunday, January 15, 2023 and was preceded in
death by his parents Beatrice Lockridge, Willie
Hodges, Sr. and James Lockridge; his brothers,
James Earl Hodges, Terry Hodges, Jimmy
