Mrs . T heresser Pannell Topp , was born in Lee County , Mississippi to William and Mary Allen Pannell . S he passed away on February 18, 2021 at the age of 93 , contented and blessed , at her home in Saltillo, Mississippi .

At an early age she confessed her hope in Christ and joined Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church of Tupelo.  She later joined Poplar Springs Christian Methodis t Episcopal Church in Shannon, Mississip pi where she remained a f aithful member un til h er death.

On July 27 she was united in holy matrimony to Arthur Topp and moved to Detroit in 1946. Together, t hey eventually moved bac k to Mississippi where she becam e a lifelong resident. In her leisure life, she enjoyed the hand crafts of sewing, knitting quilts, and gardening activities.

Astonishing l y , in her most - seasoned age, she still showed zeal and fortitude to do on h er own . During t he past three years, ha ving be en the most trying in her senior health , s he had a gracious sense of fulfillm ent with her life . T hough she came in to failing health, she did not grow tired. She experienced gr eat joy knowing that she was dearly loved by her family , both near and f ar. A constant presence and aid to her was a " triangle of love " given by her dear son Reginald , her grandson Beckley, and the mother of her grandson, Evet Topp, in which they left no stone unturned in their care for her – in every circumstance , grand son B eckley , a young lad with a noble heart who re clined by her bed side every day and his mother Evet who was cherished as a daughter, were Reggie ' s " helping hands " – a love approved of God.

Mrs. Theresse r , the love she embraced gave her earthly pilgrimage mea ning, a purpose to carry on in spite of, an d hope in the B lessed A ssurance. H er life ' s affirmation , " I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course , I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which t he Lord, the righteou s Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved his appea ring ~ 2 Timothy 4:7-8.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sib lings . She leaves to cherish her loving memories to fi ve adult children : Nathaniel Topp (the late Deborah) of Detroit, Michigan, Deborah K. Carson of Detroit, Michigan, Jacqueline P eete (Maurice) of Redford Michigan, Andre Topp of Douglas ville , Geor gia, and Reginald Topp of Saltillo , Mississippi ; eight g randc hildren : Anthony and Jason Topp , Anthony and Raymond Carson , Brittany Peete , Andrew Topp and Erica Rober ts , and Beckley Topp; her great-grandc hildren , and many much- loved family a nd friends .
