Baldwyn
"I fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Now there is in
store for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge will award to
me on that day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing "- 2
Timothy 4:7-8
In a year noted as the year that "everything changed," it was true for one family. Ruthie Mae
Agnew was born on October 23, 1963, to the late Charlie C. Agnew and Ludella Tyes Agnew.
Ruthie entered eternal rest on September 9, 2024 at her home in Baldwyn, MS. She was
affectionally known as "Tiny Ball", "Rutty", "Rudy" or "Crazy Girl".
Ruthie enjoyed riding with her cousin, Angeleque Agnew-Beene, spending time with her family
and neighbors. In her own right, Ruthie was the greatest storyteller and comedienne you would
ever meet. She never met a stranger, and she reserved the right to say exactly what was on her
mind uncensored. She was her nieces and nephews go-to-girl. She was her cousins' other sister
and always the life of the party. Lucky Star Industries, Golden Manufacture, and Longview
Nursing Home for many years.
Ruthie was a 1983 graduate of Baldwyn High School.
Ruthie is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Lee Wilson and Della Mae Agnew,
John, and Rosetta Tyes, her brothers, David Wayne and Richard.
Ruthie is survived by her siblings, Betty R. Pierce, Raymond Agnew, Maurice Agnew and Ray
Agnew, her aunts, Brenda Agnew, Mandy Easley, Lucille Agnew, Pauline Tyes and
Gertrude Tyes, sister-in-law, Shirley Agnew and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
