Our precious Ronnie, affectionately known as "Coon", was welcomed to Glory on February 5, 2021, while receiving care at North MS Medical Center. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 26 years, Rosemary Friar Grice; his loving son, Wendall Kerrion-Wright Grice; and his loving "daddy's girl" daughter, Kaitlynn McKinleigh Grice.

Ronnie Wendall Grice was born March 17, 1961, to proud parents Mr. and Mrs. Tommie Lee Grice and Virginia Barnett Grice, both of whom preceded him in death. Gerald Grice, brother, also preceded Ronnie in death. Ronnie is survived by siblings: Anita (Herbert) Partlow; Randall Grice; Janice (Dwight) Mobley; Allison (Robert) King; Talvin (Barbara) Grice; and Robyn (Sahara) Grice. Also left to cherish his memory are mother and father-in-law; Annie and Willie Wright Friar; sisters-in-law, Jennifer and Delana Friar; brother-in- law, Eric (Ebony) Friar; Goddaughter, Alexis Barnett; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved him unconditionally.

Even though a failing heart took Ronnie away from this world, his LOVING HEART was and remains a beacon of light for his community and church family.
Ronnie accepted Christ and joined Mt. Nebo CME Church at an early age and was a faithful member until his untimely death. He was a member of the Steward Board, a Trustee, and served as president of the Men's Choir Ministry. Ronnie enjoyed cooking for any church event and for the youth. He loved to serve others and everyone could depend on his faithfulness to the church and the community. Ronnie served his community as a member of HB Brother Lodge #210.

Ronnie was a 1980 graduate of Baldwyn High School where his athletic ability afforded him a scholarship to Itawamba Community College. He was a member of the football team and earned a degree in Diesel Mechanics.

Ronnie was a one of a kind guy – he never met a stranger and if you needed him, no matter the circumstance, he was there to offer his service; even though he sometimes "lost track of time." He had a passion for spending time with his family and friends and playing Dominoes. He was a part of so many families and touched so many lives. His time on earth was too short, but we all know if we live for Jesus, then we will meet again.
