Roderick was born in Tupelo, MS on October 22, 1969 to
Florine Parks, the late John Earl Allen, and raised by
step-father James Earl Parks.
Roderick professed a hope in Christ at an early age and
joined Second Baptist Verona, MS until his death.
Roderick graduated from Shannon High School in 1987. He
worked at Super Sagless for many years and later worked at
Morgan Fabrics until death.
Roderick enjoyed watching the LA Lakers, Pittsburgh
Steelers, reading the Bible, and traveling.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother: Florine Parks;
two sisters: Cartashia Parks, (Memphis) and Kimberly
(Allen) Gibson (Las Vegas, Nevada); two nieces: Santaraca
Parks (Tupelo, MS), and Kearu Parks (Plantersville, MS);
one nephew: Dominic (Las Vegas, Nevada); two aunts: Dora
Traylor (Verona, MS) and Violet Barnes (Saltillo, MS); three
uncles: William Traylor (Verona, MS), Jametilklos Traylor
(Verona, MS) and Rommie Allen; two great nephews: Mason
Parks and Ka'Micah Herrod; two special friends: Stacy
Wilson and Fredrick Lowery; a special cousin: Rev.
Christopher T. Traylor and a host of cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: James and
Flora Traylor; Bo Allen and Susie Shack; and uncle: Jimmy D.
Traylor.
