Robert G. Blackmon was born on January 31, 1939, to Willie
Blackmon, Sr. and Emma Blackmon. He transitioned to his
heavenly home on November 8, 2022, at his residence.
Robert confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at an early
age at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Dorsey, MS
where he remained a faithful member until death. He was the
oldest deacon serving on the deacon board.
Robert was a pillar of the community and a person that
helped everyone in any way he could. He loved everyone. He
also loved farming, gardening and liked to kill hogs.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted
wife: Tresha Blackmon; one brother: Willie Blackmon
(Gwyneth) of Augusta, GA; one sister: Dorothy Blackmon of
St. Louis, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends,
brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers:
Clemmie, Clinton and Clemon Blackmon and one sister, Mamie
Johnson.
