Oliver Troy "Whitey" Shumpert 78 was born January 21, 1940 in Itawamba county to the late Clint Shumpert and Dessie Cowley.  He departed this life Sunday, November 11, 2018 at his home in Dorsey, MS. Bro. Whitey enjoyed traveling, fishing, his grandchildren and taking long naps on the porch with his twin brother.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 55 years Deloise Shumpert; two daughter Joyce Ragins (Lee), Sandra Wilson (Dennis) and two sons, Larry Shumpert and James Shumpert (Serena); 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sarah McKinney and Mae Celia (Connell) Gordon; one brother, William R. Shumpert and a host of other cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, William Douglas Shumpert.
