Mary P. Barnett was born July 24, 1944 in Prentiss county to Willie E. Spencer and Charlene Garrett Spencer.  She departed this life Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. At an early age she professed hope in Christ and joined Wolf Creek M. B. Church and later joined the Mt. Nebo C.M.E. Church family. She was a very faithful usher until her health failed. She was very much loved  by her family.
She was united in Holy Wedlock to Louis Barnett and unto this union two children were born.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents,  and brothers.
She leaves to mourn her passing one daughter, Valarie Barnett; one son, Charles M. Barnett (Robbie); one God daughter, Sheena Barnett; two sisters, Peggy Spencer and Betty Price and one brother, William Spencer (Donna); (4) grandchildren and (2) great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
