Marilyn F. Smith was born April 26, 1959, to the late Mondo Flakes and Maggie Foster. She made her transition from this life to eternal life on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Pontotoc Health and Rehab Center.

Marilyn accepted Christ at an early age at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and later attended Shammah Church of God in Christ.

She united in holy matrimony to James Anthony Smith on September 25, 1982.

Her memories will be forever cherished by her husband of 40 years, James Anthony; her two sons, Reginald Rogers (Christie) and Anthony Tromaine Smith (Kimberly); grandchildren: Te'Arriyun, Assaryis, Caiden Smith, and Jasmine McCullum; one great granddaughter, Novah Allen; her brother, Rev. Ronnie Rogers (Barbara); sisters: Alene 'Lucy' Horton of Plantersville, MS, Rondia Foster of Tupelo, MS, Annie Cummings of Racine, WI; an aunt, Nellie LaPearl Goodloe of Chattanooga, TN; her father and mother-in-law, James Earl and Jercine Smith; her brothers and sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mondo Flakes and Maggie Foster; her brothers, Eugene Betts and James William Partlow; two granddaughters, Ava Grace Rogers, Kaislynn Watkins and one grandson, Langston Maurice Rogers.
