Larry D. Heard was born on April 17, 1957 to the late Charlie and Irene Jones Heard in Pontotoc, MS. The gates of heaven opened up on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at his home in Blue Springs, MS.
Larry became a member of Good Hope M.B. Church at an early age. Even though  his health kept him down, he never lost his faith in God. He had no children of his own, but he adored his nieces and nephews. He made sure to never forget his quote - "I'm not afraid to die."
Larry leaves to cherish his memories, (3) brothers: Rommie Jones of Okolona, MS, Charlie Heard, Jr. of Blue Springs, MS and Kenny Heard of Blue Springs, MS; (4) sisters: Eloise Hayden of Columbus, OH, Norma Gregory, Okolona, MS, Brenda Brandon (Jerry) of Aberdeen, MS and Mildred Crump of Verona, MS; (2) aunts: Joanne Leach and Bessie Pickett of Gary, IN, and a host of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; (1) brother: Jimmy Heard; (3) sisters: Lorine Wilson, Annie M. Marton and Mary A .Heard and a nephew: Rev. Michael Heard.
