Jimmy Rogers was born October 9, 1955 in Booneville, MS. He later moved to Detroit, MI. He departed his life on June 22, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mozelle Rogers and Dave Jr. Rogers; his grandparents: Mattie Mae Rogers and Dave Rogers; three brothers: Quitman Richardson, Robert Garner and Johnny Franks Miller and one step-sister: Deborah Gail Fields.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife of 47 years: Betty Jo Rogers; sons: Shawn Leach (Vicky) of Booneville, MS, Roderick Jacob Rogers of Baldwyn, MS, Shaquille Rogers of Baldwyn, MS and Guan Jugn Hayes of Detroit, MI; stepson: Nicholas Miller (Letarius) of Houston, TX; two brothers: Dale Rogers and Raymond Polk of Nashville, TN; one step-brother: Derrick Ratliff of Booneville, MS; two sisters: Velma Rogers (Jonathan) and Neva (Melvin) both of Nashville, MS; stepsister: Karen Sue Grove of Booneville, MS; mother-in-law: Annie Jean Miller; five sisters-in-law: Bobbie Miller (James), Martha Calomese (Murry), Era Dave and Joann Adams; two brothers-in-law: William Miller (Cathy) and Larry Miller; Robert Lee Foster: a devoted friend, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
