Mr. Jessie Thomas Jenkins was born February 18, 1956, in Lee
County, MS to the late Lucille and Johnny Jenkins. He met his demise on
Sunday, February 5, 2023 at North MS Medical Center.
Mr. Jessie attended school in the Tupelo Public School District. He was
fond of fishing, watching westerns, and landscaping.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife of 44 years, Minister Mildred
A. Harris-Jenkins. To this union five daughters were blessed: Ms.
Lakissa A. Jenkins, Mrs. Jennifer McIntosh (Robert) both of Saltillo,
MS, Mrs. Salina Locus (Christopher) of Tupelo, MS, Ms.Shelia Woods of
Saltillo, MS, and Ms. Karman Woods of Tupelo, MS; his siblings: Mr.
Larry Jenkins (Pat), Mr. Melvin Jenkins both of Tupelo, MS, Mrs.
Luveina Chandler of St. Paul, MN, Mrs. Evelyn McGlown (Sam) of
Pontotoc, MS; his grandchildren: Ellianne Jones of Fort Worth, TX,
Kelsey and Chelsea Jenkins, Shera of Saltillo, MS, Elshaddai, Israel,
Drewmiha Dilworth, Christopher and London all of Saltillo, MS,
Landon of Tupelo, MS, Serentee and Santez, Jr. Johnson of Tupelo, MS;

one great-grandson, Bryson Erickson of Fort Worth, TX; his mother-in-
law, Mother Katherine Harris of Saltillo, MS; brothers-in-law, Deacon

Milton Harris and James R. Harris both of Saltillo, MS; sisters-in-law:
Elder Cederia Vaughn (Calvin) of Saltillo, MS, Thelma Washington
(Kent) of Saltillo, MS, Faye Collier (Tyrone) of Tupelo, MS, Tiffany
Harris of Tupelo, MS; one aunt, Katherine Crayton of Belden, MS and a
host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Jessie was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Jenkins; father,

Johnny Jenkins; brother, Ricky Jenkins; sister, Gail Jenkins; father-in-
law, James Harris; brother-in-law, Christopher B. Harris.
