Israel Young Harris also known as "Bill" was born to the late Robert and Erion Harris on September 8, 1959. He departed this life October 10, 2025 at the North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.

He graduated from Saltillo High School in Saltillo, MS. in 1979. He was a long time employee of Logan's Roadhouse in Tupelo, MS. Israel had a great love of basketball and baseball.

He leaves to cherish his memories; seven brothers: Robert Harris, Bonnie (Carolyn) Harris, Beamus (Allison) Harris, Hugh (Renell) Harris, Rodney Harris, Charles (Jolly) Harris, and Melvis (Kim) Harris; three sisters; Dolly Richardson, Emma Copeland, and Sheila Chandler; one brother-in-law, Bro. Bobby Tyes; one aunt, Louise Davis; one uncle, Ollie (Ruby) Young and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Erion Harris and two sisters: Bertha Nalls and Wynell Tyes.
