George D. Gladney 78 passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 in Lee county.  He was born June 15, 1940 in Kosciusko, MS. to the late George D. Gladney Sr and Metrice Webb Gladney.

He leaves to cherish memory his wife, Willie Gladney of 56 years; two sons, Danny (Minnie) Gladney and Steven (Jerri) Gladney; six daughters, Sylvia Gladney, Nedra Gladney, Trina Gladney-Bell, Amanda Gladney, Melissa Leonard and Melinda Gladney; God -daughter, Pat McGowan, 15 grandchildren, 1 grand daughter-in-law, 1 grand God-daughter, 2 great-God-daughter and 1 great-great grandchild;  two brother Willie L. (Catherine) Gladney and Leroy (Ora) Gladney; three sisters, Clara (Vernon) Hawkins, Pearl (Clarence) Davis, and Allie Mae Harmon;

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers George, Vanual, Wade, Zeather, Hazel, and W.D. Gladney; sisters, Carrie Gladney, and Elester Jackson.
