Geneva Keeton Tyes departed this earthly life on September 10, 2022 at
Baldwyn Nursing Facility at the age of 102. On December 20, 1919, she was
born the late Nettie Keeton.
She was united in holy matrimony to Tommy Randolph Tyes. She called
him "Ran". To this union seven children were born. She reared two
grandchildren in home as her own. She enjoyed working in the garden,
sewing, cooking and was known for her fried pies.
She was a loyal member of Mt. Olive M.B. Church until her health failed.
Not only did she attend, but she has also lived by the teachings of Jesus
Christ.
She leaves four children Virginia Williams, Charlie Tyes, Bobby (Wynell)
Tyes, and Mattie Wade; a special daughter/granddaughter, Kela(Jan)
Starks; 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great
grandchildren; a goddaughter, Melissa Ragin-Davis, and a host of other
relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three children: Alma Bowdry,
Sammy Tyes, and Billy Joe Tyes; siblings: Elvester Keeton, Ezell Keeton,
Annie Keeton, and Hettie Mae Keeton; and grandson Patrick Bowdry.
