Donald "Don" Young was born on January 29, 1940, in Lee County, Mississippi, to the late LauraMcGee and Sam Young. He lived a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work, residing in Itawamba County, Mississippi, until the Lord called him home to be with his Heavenly Father.

Don was a man who found joy in life's simple blessings. He loved working in his yard, tending his garden, and repairing cars. His hands were rarely idle, and his willingness to work and helpothers reflected his strong character, humble spirit, and unwavering dedication to his family.

On December 20, 1963, Don united in holy matrimony with the love of his life, Francis Louise Davis. Together, they built a home founded on love, faith, and commitment. Their union was blessed with four sons: Michael Young, Kevin Young, Timothy Young, and Christopher Young.

Through the years, they shared countless memories and demonstrated the beauty of a lasting and devoted marriage.

Above all else, Don's greatest joy was his family. He cherished every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, aproud grandfather, and a caring great-grandfather whose wisdom, guidance, and love will continue to inspire future generations.

Those who will forever hold him in their hearts include: his devoted wife of many years, Francis Louise Young; his four sons, Michael Young, Kevin Young, Timothy Young, and ChristopherYoung; his daughter-in-law, Maryam Fullins Young, wife of Kevin Young; two siblings, Shirley Turner of Tupelo, Mississippi, and Will Junior Young of Palmetto, Mississippi; sevengrandchildren, Alexus Young, Serenity Young, Tyler Andrew Adair, Chris Young, Brandon Young, Alyssa Young, and Kaniya Young; two great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Stubbs and Elijah Young; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Laura McGee and Sam Young; two brothers; and seven sisters.

While our hearts are saddened by his passing, we rejoice in the assurance that his labor on earth is complete and that he now rests peacefully in the presence of the Lord. His life was a testimony of perseverance, faithfulness, love, and devotion to family. The seeds he planted through his kindness, hard work, and example will continue to bear fruit in the lives of those he loved.
