Charles A Heard passed away Monday, April 22, 2019 at the North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.  He was the son of the late Simon and Lula Mae Woods Heard.  He was born March 9, 1032 in Lee County.

He was a member of Good Hope M. B. Church in Shannon, Ms.

He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Alfredia Smith; three sons, Charlie (Dorothy) Heard Jr., Lee Author Heard, and Gary Heard; three sisters, Opal Wells, Clara Barnes and Annie Hall; one brother, A. Z. Heard nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leola Collier Heard, parents, two sons, Lee Andres and James Earl Heard; one sister, Earlene Clark and two brothers Ernest and George Heard;
