Chandra L.
Bender Duffy
Apr 10, 1957 — Jul 19, 2025
Baldwyn
God gave us our magnificent "Angel on Earth" on April 10, 1957, with the birth of Chandra L. Bender Duffy. God called her back to her Heavenly Home on July 19, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Coach Willie L. Bender and Evelyn Copeland Bender.
She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Nebo C.M.E. Church, where she was a faithful and dedicated member. She
served on the stewardess board, usher board and she was an active member of the weekly Bible Study.
Chandra was a 1974 graduate of Baldwyn High School. She continued her education at Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS., where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Communications. After graduation, she worked at WTVA, a teacher with the Tupelo Public School District and she was employed at J C Penney's where she provided "everyone" with excellent customer service.
Chandra leaves to cherish her memories: one son Channing Duffy; six grandchildren: Demetrius Duffy, Danyla Duffy, Danielle Duffy, Teghan Smith, Loyalty Gibson, and Royalty Gibson; one brother, Willie Levon Bender (Luedella); two goddaughters, Dr. Kelsey Rae Agnew and Whitney Marion; one aunt, Dorothy Bush; several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly; sister -cousins, Evelyn Key, Mattie Knowles (Donald) and Marie Graham; a special confidante, Mary Catherine Smith (Cleavon) and a host of other relatives and friends.
