Barbara G. Garmon was born June 27, 1952 to the late Cora Bell Dillard and Marquis Jones. She departed this earthly life Sunday, March 16, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She was 72 years old.

Barbara accepted Christ at an early age. She later went on and married Melvin Garmon and out of their union they had four beautiful children.

Barbara worked for Marshall Durbin for 15+ years as a chicken breeder, where she was a dedicated and devoted worker.

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother: Cora Bell Dillard, her father Marquis Jones; four sisters: Mary Ella Gilbert, Annie Lois Huddleston,
Ozema Samuels, and Marie Westmoreland; brothers: Ollie V. and Perdie Allen Dillard, Robert and James Jones.

Barbara is leaving to carry on her memories, her children: Frederick, Felicia, Dennis, and Chris Garmon, all of Tupelo, MS and Chris Samuels of
Chicago, IL whom she helped raise; brothers: Willie and Winston Jones of Chicago, IL; ex-husband: Melvin Garmon; 15 grandchildren; 8
great grandchildren; a special caregiver: Monica Trice and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
