Angela Marie Young departed her life on Monday, July 7, 2025, at the North MS Medical
Center in Tupelo, MS. She was born June 12, 1972, in Lee County unto Jo Gundra Young
and the late Richard Cunningham.
She professed a hope in Christ at an early age. She attended West Mt. Zion Church in
Guntown, MS with her grandmother, Ora Lee Young. Later, she joined Sandhill M.B.
Church, Mt. Zion Community Church in Guntown, MS and finally united with the Bethel
C.M.E. Church family in Guntown, MS where she remained until her transition.
She was a 1990 graduate of Baldwyn High School.
Angela was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jordan Young and Ora Lee Young;
one uncle, Jordan "Bubba" Young Jr., and one aunt, Nellie Grace Agnew.
She leaves to mourn her passing; her mother, Jo Gundra Young; one brother, Jerry McCoy
(Brianna); aunts, Shirley McKinney and Alia Mae McGee both of Baldwyn, MS; special
sister/cousin, Pamela Green (Marcus); and a host of cousins and other friends. She had a
special bond with her Dialysis family; special friends: Quantae Walker, Lewis Jones,
Courtney Scott, Evelyn Thornton, Nathaniel Bashani and Shelia Thornton.
