Alma Jean Bowdry was born December 9,1945 to Geneva Tyes and the late Randolph Tyes. She departed this life July 16, 2021 at North Mississippi Medical Center.

She was a faithful member of Full Gospel Deliverance Center until her death. Alma graduated from Lee-Prentiss High School in 1965, where she was a great basketball player. She spent her last days enjoying the NBA Finals.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughter: Metra (Eric) Blanks of Atlanta; (4) grandchildren: Anthony(Monye) Bowdry, Megan Blanks, Emir Blanks and Emory Blanks; (2) greatgrandchildren: Kade Bowdry and Kollins Bowdry; her mother: Geneva Tyes; (2) brothers: Bobby (Wynell) Tyes and Charlie Ray Tyes; (2) sisters: Mattie Wade and Virginia Williams; her closest friend:Brenda Tyes and a host of nieces, nephews,and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father husband, Elzie and son, Patrick.
