Alice Faye Crump Shelley was born on April 13, 1956 to Maggie Crump and J.W. Ragin.

She accepted Christ at an early age by joining New Tabernacle M.B. Church then Mt. Olive M.B. Church. 

She graduated from Lee Prentiss School in Baldwyn, MS and attended Northeast Community College to pursue a Registered Nursing degree. She also worked at Lucky Star Industries where she made many lifelong friends. Faye loved talking on the phone daily to her sister Sandra, taking her weekly “dollar store” trips with her brother Roy on Fridays, and laughing and carrying on with her brother “Apple Jack.” She had a very close bond with her siblings. Faye will be remembered for her joyful spirit, contagious laughter, and loving heart. Her personality brought happiness to family, friends, and coworkers alike. 

A devoted mother and grandmother, she loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, honorary daughters and grandsons, and her daughters' closest friends deeply. She welcomed them with an open heart and treated many as family. She treasured every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories through her love, laughter, and unwavering support. 

She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Timothy (Bridgette) Shelley, and three daughters: Maggie Shelley, Athena Shelley, Ro’Pageous Shelley, seven grandchildren: Xzadrain Shelley, Tyler Shelley, Devonta Shelley, Keeley Awwad, Latrell Shelley, Nathan Shaw, and Shaun Shaw, five great grandchildren: Trillion Beene, Khloe Billups, Chosen Penson, Ivy Sage Featherson, & Jakari Young; four sisters: Sandra Pannell, Margie Ragin, Shirley Ragin, and Sherrell (Bobby) Stubbs, four brothers: Larry Crump, Roy Crump, William Ragin, Wallace Ragin, Michael Hill (Brother in Law). Three honorary daughters: Kendra, (Tim) McGaha, Veronie (Harold) Green & Lakeisha (George) Isabell, two honorary grandsons, Xavier Holland and Khalil Johnson. Two special friends: Sandra Campbell and Jacqueline Beene, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maggie Crump and J. W. Ragin, siblings: Carolyn Friar, Brenda Garner, Bobby Joe Crump, John L. Crump, Effie Hill, Brenda Kaye Ragin, Mary Ragin, Marshal Ragin, James Ragin, Dorothy Ragin, and Jane Ragin.
